 SMS Client

About

The SMS Client is a piece of software that allows a user to send an SMS from their PC Desktop. With its intuitive interface sending and SMS has never been so simple. Enter the Mobile number and the message, then click send.

The software uses an encrypted connection to Integrity Network Solutions SMS Gateway. One of the many benifits that comes with this is that if you already have an account with Integrity and it is SMS enabled, you can use it as soon as it is installed.

Installation

The installation process is outlined in the forum article "How To Intal SMS Client". Please follow the directions listed there.

Usage

The SMS Client is relative simple in operation. Once you have the software installed it starts immeadiately.

Settings

The first thing you will need to do is set the username and password. To do this click the settings button in the bottom left of the window. This will open the settings window. Enter your username and password which you use to log on to the internet. This is the same username and password you use to access the Members Area of the IntegrityNet Webstie. You will need to enter the password twice to ensure the correct password is entere. If you wish to save the username and password, click the save password button. This will allow you to open the SMS Client and send an SMS without having to enter the details each time.

Once you have entered all the details click the save settings button. As soon as you have done this the SMS Client will check with the SMS Gateway to ensure you have a valid acocunt and that it has SMS Gateway access.

Sending an SMS

Once you have entered your username and password you should see a message in the window  saying that the SMS CLient is ready to send an  SMS.

Enter the phone number that you want to send the SMS to. Do not put any other characters other than numbers in the box. You will see an error if you do.

Enter the message you wish to send. As you enter the message you will see the numbers at the top left of the message box change. This is how many characters (including spaces) are left to the end of the message. SMS messages are only able to send up 160 characters (in most cases).

When you are ready, click the send button. A status bar will show up letting you know that it is sending the SMS for you. Once it has completed it will show the result in the window below the Message box. If an error occurs, it will be displayed here.
